Yoga is simply a tool. You don’t have to be a certain weight, age, build to practice, nor do you need the flexibility of a Russian gymnast or the personality of a Buddhist monk.
However, if you are interested in developing any of these things (ok maybe this doesn’t apply to age) for whatever reason yoga may help.
Please don’t let any preconceptions rob you of this beautiful tool.
The main thing yoga does for me is to make me feel very centred. I also use it very specifically, therapeutically, to deal with my autoimmune condition (Hashimoto’s Thyroiditis).
